BUYING AND SELLING FOR FOREIGNERS
1. EUROP’AGENCE is specialised in transactions for foreigners and can help you at every stage of the process :
2. Technical diagnostics carried out by a professional.
3. Choosing a notary. The notary is the only legal professional authorised to certify the sale or purchase, inter vivos gifts and to settle inheritances.
4. The pre-sale agreement or the undertaking to sell can be drawnup by the notary or the estate agent and include all terms and conditions : sale price, date of taking possession, loan conditions, conditions precedent, transfert fees and condominium charges, taxes and fees, agency and notary fees, right to withdraw and payment of security deposit.
5. Signature of the deed of sale.
The notary ensures and certifies the sale or purchase, usually 2 or 3 months after signing the pre-sale agreement. Transfer of the title and handover of the keys take place on the same day. The notary sends the formalities for registering the property to the Land Registry Office.
